The Owasso Class of '86 20th Year Reunion Committee would like to thank everyone who attended your 20th Year Class reunion on October 13th & 14th, 2006... You are who really made this thing possible and a true success...
Over the weekend we had a great turnout (and are already getting ready for the 25th Year Reunion). We've had numerous classmates e-mail or call to say they wouldn't have missed this reunion for anything & that they had a great time and can't wait for the 25th...
We want to thank those who attended your 20th year reunion, and invite everyone back and everyone who didn't get to attend to the 25th year reunion.
We also wanted to thank you all again and tell you that with the help of our sponsors and classmates who attended your reunion and paying your money, we where able to make a small donation to the American Cancer Society in the name of our Class...

09/01/06 ~ Harlon Lamkin, former OHS Band Director, passes away

Harlon Lamkin arguably did more to put OHS on the regional/national map than any other staff member there that I can recall. His ways were sometimes harsh, but he was very memorable and in looking back positively shaped the lives of 1000s there.

OHS '83 and former "Pride of Owasso" Member

Lamkin, who lived in Corpus Christi, Texas, led the Pride of Owasso High School marching band along with his wife from 1973 to 1989. Current director David Gorham, said he had known Lamkin for many year and his efforts built a foundation for what the band is today.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Pete Lamkin and one sister, June McKinney. He is survived by his daughter, Tina Getter and husband, Kevin of Tulsa, OK; two granddaughters, Megan and Kristen; two brothers, Lawwrence and Monty Lamkin of Lubbock; three sisters, Joye Fenerty of Kensington, MD, Beth Walraven and Jan Killingsworth of Lubbock.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 4, 2006 at White Memorial Chapel in Lubbock, Texas. Arrangements are with White Funeral Home. To register or send condolences online, please visit www.whitefuneralhome.com

Saturday, September 2nd, 10am-7pm (or later)
The shelter is reserved, so bring food and drinks for your family, we will have grills there to cook on. Also bring chairs and outdoor games to play. Please feel free to ask your parents to come and any teachers you can think of. This is just a get together to visit and see how everyone is doing.

06/10/06 ~ Baseball Players from 1970-1982 Reunion

04/29/06 ~ Class of 1981 Reunion

We are planning on our 25th Reunion, October 13-14, 2006. Starting at the Owasso Rams Homecoming Football Game on Friday the 13th ending at "The Vault" in our own hometown of Owasso on October 14th. We will post more info in the next couple of weeks to come.
